CAIRO – December 26, 2022: Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Monday discussed with officials of the National Population Council on establishing records for women to document their health, education and professional status from birth with the aim of providing adequate services and support.
Recommendations from the meeting also include disseminating information on reproductive health in schools starting from the next school year. This is in addition to accelerating the activation of laws that criminalize child marriage, child labour, not registering newborns, and revocation of schools.
The meeting also tackles awareness campaigns related to family planning, as the campaigns will be customized for each audience segment, and delivered through the media that is most exposed to that segment.
Apart from that, Minister Abdel Ghaffar also recommended the unification of the material presented at the KB lectures which were held nationally. He also urged to follow up on achieving such campaign targets in various governorates.
