SANTA MARIA, Calif.– The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District swore in three members to the Board of Education in Tuesday’s meeting.
Feliciano Aguilar (Area 2), David Baskett (Area 5) and Diana Perez (Area 4) join the board for the next three years. Aguilar and Baskett are new members, while Perez has served the district since 2014 and was re-elected as Council President.
Inspector Antonia Garcia welcomes the new perspectives and expertise the three bring to the board.
“We are pleased to welcome a new board member to our governance team,” said Garcia. “I look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the students and staff with them and the entire school board.”
